Fred Delibero

Vice President

Fred Delibero, Vice President of KC Commercial Realty, has been active in both commercial and residential real estate development and leasing for more than 20 years. He joined KC Commercial Realty in 2011 as Vice President and currently provides tenant representation for several clients; leases and manages commercial property; and consults on retail site selection and tenant finish projects.

He began his career in retail real estate as Director of Specialty Leasing for Washington, DC based The Mills Corporation where he was responsible for leasing the Sawgrass Mills project in Sunrise, Florida. Fred went on to join San Diego based Lava Industries, a specialty retailer with 20 year around locations and more than 300 seasonal locations, as Vice President of Specialty Retail. While there, he managed site selection; store design and build out; fixtures management and tracking; operations management; operator training; marketing and lease administration.

In 1996, Delibero joined Kansas City based Copaken, White and Blitt, a commercial real estate developer, manager and leasing company with over 11,000,000 square feet of retail and office space under management. While there, he served as Director of Specialty Leasing where he was responsible for specialty leasing throughout the company’s enclosed mall portfolio, and then Senior Leasing Manager where he oversaw enclosed mall leasing, as well as, outparcel development, sales and leasing.

In 2004, Delibero left Copaken, White and Blitt to start Summit Custom Homes, LLC, a Lee’s Summit, Missouri based single family home builder who today holds a spot as one of the top three home builders in the entire Kansas City metro area. He continues to serve as the company’s chairman. In addition, Delibero is principal in several other companies where he has developed residential and commercial land projects, owns and manages several residential and commercial for rent projects and invests in land and other real estate holdings. He has been directly involved with the leasing, management and development of several million square feet of commercial space.

Fred earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing degree from Florida Metropolitan University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University, both in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He earned the Certified Leasing Specialist designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers in 1999, has co-authored a book on shopping center leasing for the ICSC and has authored many articles featured in various industry publications. He has also spoken at, and hosted workshops during, many ICSC events and conferences. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Kansas City Home Builder’s Association and serves on their executive board, as well as, a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Homes Builders based in Washington, DC. He also holds the Certified Green Professional designation from the National Association of Homes Builders. He further serves as a planning commissioner for the City of Lee’s Summit, MO. He, his wife Lisa, and their two children reside in Lee’s Summit, MO.
