Justin Cottrell joins KC Commercial Realty Group

Prairie Village, KS. (August 2, 2010) Justin Cottrell will join KC Commercial Realty Group as a Principal effective August 1, 2010. For the previous 13 years, Justin worked with Kansas City based Copaken, White & Blitt (CWB) in Illinois, Kansas and Missouri. During his tenure in Illinois, Justin held positions in all aspects of commercial property management and leasing and ultimately was promoted to Assistant Manager of Eastland Mall, a 765,000 square foot, five anchor regional enclosed center. Justin also received his Illinois Real Estate License, earned his “Accredited Buyers Representative” Designation (ABR) and completed the GMAC Marketing Masters Program focused on promoting and marketing real estate. In August 2005, CWB relocated Justin to their corporate office in Kansas City where he was assigned to negotiate long term retail leases for their portfolio as well as work on third party landlord and tenant representation assignments. Justin currently represents several national retailers in the Kansas City Metro Area.

 

KC Commercial Realty Group was formed in 2007 by David Bayer and Scott Jerwick. Located in Prairie Village, KS, KC Commercial Realty Group has focused on third party retail brokerage, leasing and property management with an emphasis on premium service to their clients. Currently the company represents several local/national retailers in the market. In addition the company has listing agreements with more than 2 million square feet of retail property for lease including Oak Park Commons, Quivira 95 Shops, Deer Creek Marketplace, North Oak Marketplace, Douglas Square, and Heritage Square, and over 250,000 square feet of retail space under contract for property management. KC Commercial Realty Group has several sites under contract for sale or development.

 

When asked what prompted the move to KC Commercial Realty Group, Cottrell said "I was looking to settle into a company that had its focus exclusively on retail brokerage and services and offered a strong opportunity for future growth. I believe this will be the right fit for me and the clients that I represent."

 

When asked about Cottrell joining KC Commercial Realty Group, Bayer replied “Justin does a great job of building relationships as well as negotiating and closing deals. He will be a great asset to our firm. I am very proud of the fact that our firm has been able to grow and perform in a difficult economy.”

 

David Bayer, Scott Jerwick and Justin Cottrell will be principals of the company.
