Office Manager/Property Manager

Cindy began her career in retail management in high school at a local hardware store in Garden City, Michigan. After receiving a Bachelors Degree from Eastern Michigan University, she worked with Sears Roebuck in their management training program traveling to Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan as a department manager. Sears then transferred her to property management at a regional shopping center in their then real estate company, Homart. where she then was recruited to assist other companies in opening two other properties in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area; City Center and Bandana Square. She then went on to Michigan and Kentucky to open and manage Water Street Pavillion for the Enterprise Development Company in Flint and Victorian Square and the Lexington Festival Marketplace in Lexington for The Webb Companies She went back into the retail arena as Director of Operations with The Fudgery for two years.

Cindy came to Kansas City to manage Indian Springs Shopping Center in 1988 for Copaken White & Blitt. She began her community work in Kansas City by establishing relationships within the local civic and government agencies and community groups which eventually led to a 20 year career with the Kansas City Kansas Area Chamber where she served 12 years as President. During this time, she played a rolein the public private development in western Wyandotte County with the development of Kansas Speedway and the Village West complex and the securing of casino gaming in Northeast Kansas. She also was a major partner in the startup of a downtown community association which generated a community improvement district. Cindy continues to be involved in civic activities.

In 2005, Cindy and her husband Wayne started B and G Management Plus LL C to work on community and strip centers in the Kansas City area. They use their years of experience in shopping center and retail operations, marketing and management to assist clients with day to day maintenance/janitorial operations, construction and demolition oversight, bidding specs, process and recommendations, troubleshooting, marketing planning and implementation, and contractor, municipal and tenant relations.
